Source: answerforce.com/plans-direct, read Oct 7, 2026. The ordinary plans path asks for name, email, phone and company before its "Show Plans" button. The separate direct plan page displays the main plans and an expandable larger-plan list without that form (both read October 7, 2026). AnswerForce's robots.txt disallows the direct page from search indexing. Its published prices are still readable at the URL.
The listed overage rate applies to each extra minute or chat, according to the direct plan page. The Intro tier has a setup fee; the higher listed tiers say "No setup fee" on that page (read October 7, 2026). Live call answering, live chat, a business phone line, scheduling solutions, a mobile app and team messaging appear in each main plan's feature list. The page says larger plans include the same features as Best value. Ask which interactions draw down the minute pool before choosing a plan.
What AnswerForce costs at 50, 100 and 200 calls a month
| Calls a month | Monthly cost | Per call | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $349 | $6.98 a call | $4,188 |
| 100 | $389 | $3.89 a call | $4,668 |
| 200 | $854 | $4.27 a call | $10,248 |
Our arithmetic: AnswerForce's cheapest published plan for each volume plus its published overage, at 3-minute calls. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are excluded. How we price.
At 100 three-minute calls, Best value includes the modeled 300 minutes and costs $389/month for 300 minutes. At 200 such calls, the Growth plan plus overage costs $854. These are modeled bills: a receptionist who stays on a transfer or finishes a message after hanging up can use more minutes. The calculator lets you change call length.
How AnswerForce counts a minute
- Billing unit: Per minute
- Rounding: Whole minute, rounded up
- Billed beyond talk time: Hold, transfers and patches, after-call work; outbound calls use the same minutes
- Spam and short calls: First 30 interactions under 30 seconds free each month
The terms say, "You acknowledge that you will be charged in whole-minute increments, and that any partial minutes will be rounded up to the nearest whole minute." They name "hold time and time spent patching a customer call forward" as chargeable. The minute-calculation guide also includes "the after-call work our associates perform to take your messages" (both read October 7, 2026). A short talk segment can therefore use a full billed minute, and a transfer can extend the billed interaction. Compare the per-minute and flat-rate rules.
AnswerForce's own short-call explanations differ. The minute-calculation guide says "Charges will not be placed for calls that are disconnected within thirty seconds". The direct pricing page limits free short interactions to the first 30 per billing cycle (read October 7, 2026). For a business receiving wrong numbers or hang-ups, the difference determines when those calls begin using minutes. The page does not publish a separate spam-call exemption. See the spam billing comparison.
Fees, contract and plan changes
- Setup fee: $75 on the Intro plan, none from 300 minutes
- Contract: 90-day minimum (the help center says month-by-month)
- Trial: None found
The help center says, "We work on a month-by-month rolling contract." The terms instead state, "This Agreement will be in effect for a minimum period of 90 calendar days." After that, either party can terminate with written notice; the terms name no further notice period and bill each whole or partial month. The contract language governs the minimum. Ask for your start date and final billing date in writing (both pages read October 7, 2026).
Overage can be charged before the invoice arrives: the terms authorize AnswerForce to charge the card "immediately in the event that you accrue any overage charges." The usage article says it emails customers when plan use reaches 80% and 100%. It also says, "at any point during the month, we can retroactively change your rate plan for the current month. So make sure that you contact us before the end of the month" (read October 7, 2026). That is a customer-requested change, not automatic protection from overage.
Unused allowance does not carry forward. The billing help center says, "Unfortunately, we do not provide carry-over facility for unused minutes" (read October 7, 2026). A seasonal business can therefore pay for unused capacity in a quiet month and overage during a busy one; compare the larger plan before month-end. The bill increase guide explains the parts of a bill to inspect.
Where AnswerForce fits
AnswerForce says its live answering plans include after-hours, weekends and holidays "at no extra cost" (answering services, read October 7, 2026). Its bilingual FAQ says bilingual answering is part of the monthly plan (read October 7, 2026; the post was published in 2020). These are useful inclusions for a business that needs one line answered after closing or in Spanish. Confirm the current coverage and routing in the service agreement. The after-hours and bilingual guides compare those terms across vendors.
AnswerForce's home-services page says receptionists can collect emergency details and call an on-call technician. Its ServiceTitan integration page describes a new lead created in ServiceTitan through Zapier. That is a documented fit for lead capture and dispatch, while a buyer needing a particular field mapping or two-way sync should ask for a demonstration (both read October 7, 2026). See answering services for contractors.

Same model for each row: 3-minute calls and the cheapest published plan at that volume. Taxes, setup fees and add-ons are excluded. How we price.
At 100 three-minute calls, Go Answer costs $345, below AnswerForce's $389. AnswerForce costs less than PATLive's $479. AnswerConnect and LEX Reception cost $395 and $450 at the same volume, respectively, both above AnswerForce. At 200 three-minute calls, AnswerForce costs $854 against AnswerConnect's $887.50; the AnswerForce plan is cheaper. These are published-plan comparisons, not ratings of how each service handles calls.
AnswerForce, AnswerConnect and LEX Reception each name AnywhereWorks, Inc. as their contracting company in their AnswerForce, AnswerConnect and LEX Reception terms (read October 7, 2026). Those two brands show different plans and terms, but changing among them does not change the owner. The ownership map explains the group. Frequently Asked Questions
How much does AnswerForce cost per month?
Its entry plan is $349/month (200 minutes). At 100 three-minute calls, the cheapest published plan costs $389 per month. The direct plan page publishes the tier list; the ordinary pricing path presents a form (read October 7, 2026).
Does AnswerForce charge a setup fee?
Setup fee: $75 on the Intro plan, none from 300 minutes. The direct plan page separates the Intro tier from plans with no setup fee. The monthly volume model excludes one-time setup charges.
Is AnswerForce month to month?
Its terms set a 90-day minimum, followed by termination on written notice. Its help center describes a month-by-month rolling contract, so ask AnswerForce to confirm the effective minimum and final billed month before signing.
Does AnswerForce charge for spam and wrong numbers?
The direct pricing page makes the first 30 interactions under 30 seconds free in each billing cycle. The help-center wording appears broader. It publishes no separate exemption for longer spam calls, so ask how those calls are classified.
How does AnswerForce round calls?
It rounds answered calls up to a whole billed minute. Hold, patching a transfer and work after the call can add billable time. A three-minute conversation may therefore use more than three billed minutes.
Can I change my AnswerForce plan during a busy month?
The billing help center says customers can request a retroactive rate-plan change during the current month, provided they contact AnswerForce before that month ends. The terms also allow immediate charges when overage accrues, so ask how any already charged overage is reconciled.
How these prices were read
Every price on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page, on the date in its Source cell, and saved as a dated capture. Monthly plans use the cheapest published plan plus overage at 3-minute calls. AnswerAmerica shows the least upfront prepaid credit purchase covering that call volume; unused credits roll over. Vendors that hide prices stay in the tables as quote only. We do not test answering quality and publish no ratings.

Changes to these prices
- Clarified LEX Reception trial wording from "None" to "None found": the reviewed vendor pages publish no trial offer, but do not establish that the company never offers one.
- Added AnswerForce published 1,200, 1,500, 2,000, 3,500, 5,000 and 10,000-minute plans from the pricing page JavaScript captured October 7, 2026. Each lists $1.85 per additional minute or chat. A prior pass missed these plans because its text capture stopped at 1,000 minutes.
- AnswerConnect and LEX Reception priced from their own /plans-direct pages, including setup fees and larger plans. PATLive added its 2,000 to 5,000-minute tiers. AnswerAmerica added with exact prepaid credit packages; comparison costs show the least upfront package purchase covering the call volume, with unused credits rolling over. Its terms charge wrong numbers and hangups, contrary to its price page. ReceptionHQ MessageExpress named in full. Specialty Answering Service cancellation summary and setup-fee summaries corrected. AI product terms added for Go Answer, Moneypenny and Smith.ai. The initial AnswerForce text capture appeared to stop at 1,000 minutes; the larger plans were later found in saved page JavaScript.
- Published plans that were on pages already read but missing here. ReceptionHQ ReceptionistPlus added as its own live row (messages and call transfers, no scope note; read October 5, 2026): from $35 a month plus $2.99 a call to $2,440 for 1,000 calls, from its ReceptionistPlus page and the price table in ReceptionHQ's terms (read October 7, 2026), with its own billing terms ($0.30 a call after hours, $0.30 per transfer). ReceptionHQ (MessageExpress, still message-taking only): 150, 250, 350 and 450 calls ($250, $395, $540 and $675) from the same terms table. Specialty Answering Service: 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 minutes ($2,929, $5,649 and $10,599, overage $1.19 to $1.09 a minute) from its pricing page (read October 5, 2026), and hold time added to what its per-minute billing covers, from its rates page (read October 7, 2026). Go Answer: 1,700, 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 minutes ($1,870, $2,750, $5,500 and $11,000, overage $1.40 and $1.25 a minute) from its pricing page (read October 5, 2026). Ruby: 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 minutes ($4,945, $6,400 and $7,875, overage $3.50 to $3.30 a minute) from its help center (read October 7, 2026).
- Plans and rates that were on the captured pages but missing here: My AI Front Desk overage $0.25 a minute (25 credits at $0.01), Go Answer 750 minutes ($825), AnswerForce 800 minutes ($1,069), ReceptionHQ MessageExpress 400 and 500 calls ($610 and $725), and ReceptionHQ's $0.20 after-hours surcharge per MessageExpress call.
- Billing terms added for 18 providers from their terms, FAQ and help pages (read October 7, 2026): billing unit, rounding, time billed beyond the call, spam billing, setup fee, contract and trial. Alert Communications added (law firms only, kept out of the ranges). AnswerForce prices added from its /plans-direct page (Intro $349 for 200 minutes, Best value $389 for 300). VoiceNation now redirects to Moneypenny.
- Sameday AI added (home services only, read October 5, 2026): Launch from $449/month with 500 minutes, Scale from $789/month with 1,000 minutes. Like Slang.ai, it is listed but kept out of the category ranges because it serves one vertical.
- First edition: 30 providers read from their own pricing pages. AnswerConnect, AnswerForce, LEX Reception, Answering Legal and Nexa ask for a form or a sales call before showing a price, so they are listed as quote only. VoiceNation publishes the same plan table as Moneypenny (US), so that table is listed once, under Moneypenny.
